1 reply. For me, rose gold would be rose colored fondant with an edible soft gold luster dust dry dusted over the surface. Or, I'd mix some edible rose/pink/peach luster dust with an edible gold luster dust until I got the shade I wanted. I don't see any good way to get it as a straight mixed fondant color.
To start you only need a few ingredients: icing sugar, water, paste coloring, fondant icing sugar, and a piping bag (optional). Mix all ingredients together, then put them in a bag so they stay soft. Make the color of the rose or petals any color you want. Knead the dough so that you will have the color you would like.
Press the piece of fondant into the mold, filling it completely. Use your fingers to firmly push down on the fondant, making sure you get it into every nook and cranny. It’s okay if your fondant spills out over the mold. It’s better to overfill it than underfill it.
