In as much as Milk of Magnesia is an effective oil-absorber, and so very good at getting rid of oil and shine because it contains Magnesium Hydroxide, a chemical that absorbs oil on the skin. The problem with Milk of Magnesia is that, it has an alkaline ph. Your skin’s natural ph is slightly acidic.
